Merlin Hub
October 2020

We continue to strengthen our social commitment with the campaign to donate food from our urban gardens, in which we are immersed and that has already distributed more than 365 kilos to 200 families at risk of social marginalization.

Merlin Hub’s urban garden network keeps growing. Since we launched the first one last September in Avenida de Europa, this pioneering initiative has grown in space and user acceptance. Other office buildings at Merlin Hub Madrid Norte, Avenida de Europa, Vía Norte, Aquamarina and Torre Chamartín in Madrid have recently joined this first garden.

The urban gardens of Merlin Hub are ecological spaces where users can find a way to disconnect and enrich themselves personally by connecting with the Earth and its products, a commitment that is part of the sustainability policy of the company. It is estimated that, during the first year, Merlin Hub will have a production of around1,800 kg of fruits and vegetables per year for user consumption.

For the development and commissioning of urban gardens, Merlin Properties has a collaboration agreement with Fundación Juan Roncalli, a company that has worked for more than 50 years on the social and occupational integration of people with intellectual disability. Once the foundation employees leave the garden prepared, they can assist the foundation in maintenance.
